Founded in 2003, Lemar and Dauley is known as the first true streetwear brand. Spearheaded by Kareem Blair and Daniel "Manhattan" Pierre, L&D gained notoriety as an impact brand, weaving bold colours and stunning imagery into its powerful messaging.
As the brand’s Communications Manager, I was a jack of all trades. I did everything from building the brand’s social media channels from scratch to handling their online community management and acting as their PR manager to help them secure press and product placement

Lemar & Dauley x DC Admiral
New York, NY -- DC Shoes lays the platform yet again for Lemar & Dauley's new, classic `09 sneaker release called Admiral.
The Regatta sailboat is the muse behind this latest design. Through this concept, L&D takes the inner-city dwellers and mentally "shifts" them from a hustle-and-bustle metropolis to a tranquil, nautical setting.
The white colour scheme represents serenity: electrical relaxation, rolling clouds, skin touching soft, dry sand, and a mind entranced by the sounds of ocean waves.
The black color way represents energy: car horns, taxi cabs, an influx of people, changing street lights and steps leading to underground subways.
What bridges these worlds together are the regatta wind sails embellished on the side panels. The juxtaposition of opposite settings linked by one element signifies the need for one thing—peace of mind.
The Lemar & Dauley imprint illustrates the labelling often detailed on the side of the Regatta sailboats. L&D's trademark, the houndstooth pattern, adorns the tongue of the sneaker. The metal plate embossed with Braille and the reflective tap personify the human senses of touch and sight, whether near clear blue salt lake water or walking through the glass doors of a high-rise building onto busy streets.

Barcelona, Spain (June 24, 2008) – NYC's streetwear fashion line Lemar and Dauley (www.lemaranddauley.com) is pleased to announce its debut in Europe's annual Bread & Butter Barcelona (BBB) tradeshow from July 2nd - July 4th.
Lemar & Dauley is an all-American impact brand that incorporates piquant pop cultural references and contemporary art influences meshed with vibrant colors into its design concepts.
L&D started out as an underground hip-hop t-shirt line and quickly became a trans-cultural trademark for youth of all-facets of today's urban culture.
Because of L&D's cross-cultural appeal, the brand receives major accolades all over the US, but the makers behind the brand, Kareem Blair, creative director, and Daniel Pierre, sales and distribution director, were keen on expanding into the European market. "The importance of doing business in Europe is undeniable. I believe the opportunity to create a solid brand base overseas with BBB is vital and should hopefully spark a fresh interest in L&D," explained Daniel about the upcoming opportunity.
Respectively, BBB, Europe's top fashion tradeshow, recognized L&D as an emerging American brand and decided to feature it in the Official Bread & Butter B Bulletin magazine, and in a complementary booth at the upcoming fashion exhibition.

L&D will exhibit at BBB alongside 954 of the world's top streetwear brands, including K Karl Lagerfeld, Reebok, LRG, Citizens of Humanity, Ben Sherman, and Rocawear.

adidas REMIX has teamed up with one of New York's freshest streetwear brands to produce the adidas x Lemar & Dauley Streetball '08 shoe collection. The young, internationally recognized street fashion brand applies their visionary and experimental aesthetic to adidas' newest footwear silhouette, resulting in two bold and versatile shoes that will be introduced Tuesday April 15th 2008.
Available in both a Mint Green and Classic Black, this new design, which has been seen by many as an ode to throwback, offers a blend of classic functionality and bold statement street wear style. The construction entails a clean blend of smooth leather and suede at the box with a comfort and performance-enhancing neoprene liner.
